Boroline Cream works by treating the inflammation of vagina, preventing skin disorders and it composed of few active ingredients which are detailed explained below for your better understanding:

Boric Acid

Sodium Borate and Boric Acid prevent or retard bacterial growth, and thus protect cosmetics and personal care products from spoilage. They are also used to control pH and to minimize the change in the pH of a solution when an acid or a base is added. Sodium Borate and Boric Acid also help to keep an emulsion from separating into its oil and liquid components. They are also used to alter the thickness of liquid cosmetics and personal care products.

Zinc Oxide

When used in sunscreen products, ZnO acts as a physical block to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation, helping to reduce or prevent sunburn and premature aging of the skin.  Preventing sunburn is an important factor in reducing skin cancer risk.  Zinc oxide is the broadest spectrum UVA and UVB reflector approved for use as a sunscreen by the FDA and is allowed in concentrations up to 25%. When used as an ingredient in sunscreen, zinc oxide screens both UVA (320–400 nm) and UVB(280–320 nm) rays of ultraviolet light.

ZnO is widely used to treat a variety of skin conditions in products such as calamine cream and antiseptic ointments, and as a skin protectant ingredient in products including in concentrations up to 40% in diaper rash ointments.

White Petroleum Jelly

Chesebrough made petroleum jelly by subjecting a residue of West Virginian crude oil – known as rod wax – to a vacuum distillation process, followed by filtration through bone-black (animal charcoal).

Once white petrolatum/petroleum jelly was introduced into medicine cabinets, women found a number of cosmetic uses for it, some of which have persisted to this day. It was used on lips to reduce cracking, on eyebrows and eyelashes in the hope that it would ‘make them thicken and grow’, and on the skin to ‘beautify the complexion’.

Cosmetic chemists also used it and similar petroleum-based ingredients in a wide range of products. As well as making soap, Chesebrough also used petrolatum/petroleum jelly to make ‘Vaseline Cold Cream’ and ‘Vaseline Pomade’ for hair. Hair products would prove to be one of the more common early used of petrolatum where it replaced beef, suet, lard, olive oil, lanolin, cocoa butter and other fats.
