Bees waxx

Beeswax has been used for thousands of years.  Throughout history, beeswax has been found in some very interesting places and for some very fascinating reasons.  In the tombs of Egypt, this wax was used to cover/plug the facial openings of the body as well as to close the incision opening from the embalming process.  The Vikings used beeswax for the sewing of thick leather.  It was also believed that passing the thread through beeswax would strengthen and preserve it.  Beeswax has even been found in the ruins of Roman times.  And, it has been speculated that beeswax was used as a form of dental tooth filling in ancient times.

Polyglyceryl 3 diisostearate

Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate and Polyglyceryl-2 Diisostearate are hydroxy compounds used in cosmetics and skin care products as emollients and surfactants, and are found primarily in lip glosses and lipsticks, although they are also seen in foundations, sunscreens, bronzers, moisturizers and anti-aging serums.

Cetearyl Octanoate

Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate acts as a lubricant on the skin's surface to give it a soft and smooth appearance and as a hair conditioning ingredient. It also imparts water-repelling characteristics to cosmetics and personal care products, improves "spreadability," and is used to improve dry skin conditions.

Caprylic Capric Triglyceride

Derived from coconut oil and glycerin, it’s considered an excellent emollient and skin-replenishing ingredient. It’s included in cosmetics due to its mix of fatty acids that skin can use to replenish its surface and resist moisture loss. Caprylic/capric triglyceride can also function as a thickener, but its chief job is to moisturize and replenish skin. This ingredient’s value for skin is made greater by the fact that it’s considered gentle.
